Love Ban for Idols

Postby wattstax » Sun Sep 14, 2014 6:03 am

As we had this topic with PASSPO, here is an interesting article about a recent "scandal". It happened this year to the idol group Aoyama Saint Hachamecha High School.

The clause in the contract is stupid in many ways. What is so bad about an idol in love? How would the management even discern between a "fan" and a "regular guy"? In my opinion the clause had the intention to ban all relationships. And what the hell would be the harm that was supposedly inflicted on other fans?!?

I can understand the money side of the things:

You know how hardcore wotas are. They are pretty much insane and need police monitoring every move. But they compensate the security needs with 10x each version of a new release. They are a insane and wicked money well.
This insane and wicked obviously bites back when you don't want to: jealousy. Lots of it. Way too much.
Take his pure angel away form him (not that she ever was him, but in his mind...) and the money well vanishes completely. Think about the pricing of Japanese stuff, you get some good hundreds with a single guy on every release, but that's as long as he thinks one day she'll be him. Let's not think about worse heartbroken cases that would be far more difficult to handle (and jealousy can be insane), but only this level. And it's not only one that will go away, it's a good percentage of people, that can count to the biggest market share in general.

In short: they must keep Idols as the wota's pure angels so they sell a lot.

Please make sure to fasten your seatbelts. Flight engineer Iwamura Natsumi wishes you a good flight!

In terms of market, that's why G48 is the biggest idol group at the moment in Japan.
But, why nobody think about the human side?
And for our stewardesses, why isn't work for them?
